how can i fix my maytag performa washing machine?

After replacing the leaking pump and belt my washer wont spin the tub. The water pumps out fine but doesn't spin.Model PAV2300AWW Serial# 12714354ZW

I was testing the machine outside using an extension cord that was evidently the older style(unpolarized plug). When I flip the plug over the machine works fine--Go figure. Works OK now!

Hello,

Assuming the motor is running when it goes into spin, check the track that the motor travels in in free and not jammed.
