How to fix my maytag performa washing machine? pav2300aww?

sounds like your tub bearing (lip seal) is leaking
if you stick a putty knife in between the top of the front panel and the top there is to spring clips that hold the top down aboult 3-4 in in from ends push knifer into the slot and lift on top ansd same on other side....then lift the top and you'll see to screws hjolding the front panel on remove them and let front panel lend forward 90 degree and lift off.....
now you can start the machine and look under tub with flashlight and see if it's leaking....if so bad seal....most likely a $200.00-$300.00 and that hoping the botton bearing didn't get damaged...well good like
