Mend Honda X8R-S Need Wont Button

what do i need to do to fix my honda x8r-s, it wont start with the button?

I have not used my x8r-s for a while and just tried to start it, I jump started it with my car and now I can start it but only with the kickstart, the starter button just clicks.Do I need a new starter? what do you think is wrong with it?
