car wont start?

unlock car with smart card , 2005 renault automatic megan. when attenting to insert the card into the slot/reader. I then hold the break and push the stop button, the car attemptes to engage to start but does not , i notice that there is a clicking sound and also under the bonnett ascreaching sound like a quiet alarm.this has happend a few times, i am told that it could be the key/card , I have changed the battery and know it doesnt need re programming as i have manage to start the car, but it appears that when it rains i encoure this problem.
