Mend Whirlpool AWO/D4505 Drain Pump Washing Machine Motor

whirlpool awo/d4505 is growling ?

the machine is making a growling noise on and off throughout the programe, we know the drain pump is working fine as is the motor, the drum is turning freely and is quiet, it seems to be when changing through the cycle, it is progressivly getting louder and we have now stopped using it, has anybody any suggestions as to what the problem may be,
