Maytag Household Appliances, Washing Machines Not Fill Hot Water

Have you got the tap at the rear of the washing machine turned on or off? The red hose from the washing machine is attached to a hot water pipe via a tap with a small red handle. Is the red pipe hot? If so then you have a faulty inlet valve on your machine. ( not very common ).
