My Fujifilm Finepix S5100 won't switch on?

My camera won't switch on. I have replaced the batteries but still nothing? Anyone have any ideas what else could be wrong?

lift the battery cover and there is a small miroswitch next to xd card.jam this switch in useing a match or some thing similar,leave this in permanantly and the camera should switch on.
