Mend John Deere 1020 Model Remove

This is for a John Deere 1970 year model 1020. How do I remove the transmission seal that also holds the 3 pt hitch side arms? It is a metal housing that appears to be pressed into transmission case and has both a plastic seal and rubber O ring to keep fluid from leaking around the pin.
