Mend Ade Optima Compact Security System Panel

reset loop?

hi guys,
just moved house which has got an 'ade optima compact, 8 zone panel' fitted.. with all the upheaval, i have lost the alarm code b4 i had chance 2 change it.. it is not like my older optima where u cud just power the panel down.. is there a loop where u can clear the 'nvm'..

when i've done that acorn, i'll just programme my new code from factory default code of '0123'.. all i want is the loop to reset the panel to do it..

cheers peter but this is an 8 zone so wudn't first link be '17' to poss '31' (+ set) i know they went up in multiple of ten to the (+ set) link but this panel doesn't seem to do that.. i'm not sure whether try it or not as i don't want to risk damage to the panel

When you've done that, how are you going to reprogramme it?

- Remove mains supply and control panel
- Disconnect batery
- Remove wires from 9 & 19
- Link 9 & 19
- Re-apply power
- Powers up with no alarm and NVM is cleared and in test mode
- remove link from 9 & 19, replace original wires
Job done.

Have got one of these, still boxed, will dig out the manual tomorrow and reply with the answer. In the meantime try browsing on-line for a manual.
