Haha, thanks e manno but I'd like to keep my socks :D I've already got 2 dogs and they're both scared of their own shadows, especially Harvey. He sits down and starts shaking whenever anyone walks past us when we're out walking. He's such a baby and SOOoooo pathetic but thanks anyway lol.

I know e manno, as I sad before its hard to give advice on rubbish that you don't use,i have never fitted any trash so have no experience of them,cept for ripping em to bits ,I mean all that rubbish about fitting links here and there who needs it,?who has the time to waste on such nonsence?better to fit proper equipment,me get of my soapbox now :-)

You and I don't use this rubbish but being in the service industry I've seen to plenty but preferred to rip out and fit our own but that's how it goes sadly m8,

nice one e manno,god forbid the power fails Julie and you cant stop the alarm going off,coz you don't have the pin number,how annoyed will your neibours be,???you may have to call the housing asso to get some one to stop the alarm going off,!!!!and if this happens a few times,it must be fixed

The alarm system is part of the 'fixtures & fittings', you're paying for that in your rent, same as washing machine, extractor fan etc.

It IS the responsibility of the Housing Association to get it sorted into a working system.

Julie if the red power and day led's arnt lit then the system has been powered down on behalf of the housing and their records will show this.

If you get into a pickle and have to fone hosing because you can't silence it after youve had a play,then they will make you foot the bill.

have a look at the box top right of your screen Julie,the search box,you will find your answer there,we cant give out how to reset alarm panels for ob, reasons,just type in your question in the search box,you will find the the solution,its an easy fix ,when you know how,regards gts

I know that when they built these houses about 20yrs ago they had alarms fitted in them, it really does my head in because I really want the alarm to work for security. Your probably right about them fobbing me off, I've tried to ask them the reset code on numerous occasions and each and every time they say its not their responsibility. My friend said that if I could find out the reset code then that should work.

what they should have done is rip it out before renting you the property,thats what we do up here when I do electrical testing for the housing asso,anything not standard gets ripped out (up here is Scotland )in voids we remove showers,non standard light fittings,and switches,

its their resposibilty to sort the alarm,its their house,not yours I mean if the toilet stop working they would have to fix it,same thing with the alarm
