i have a rover 75 and i cant open my front passenger door from in or outsid?

the only way to fix this is to remove door card . it sounds crazy i know but rover built the locks with an emergency self locking lever built in to the system.getting back to the door card anyway.easily removed the only fixing you damage is the one on top of card closest to dashboard .look at drivers side door to view this fixing the card pulls past this and can be replaced later once you have opened door .remove small screw cover from inside door handle (interior) and take screw out .then remove screws from door pull shut handle .once these are removed take window down to lowest point and gain access to the top of door card .pull door card up slightly whilst assisting from inside aswell.you may have to adjust passanger seat position to allow card past.once panel is removed get your hand inside door and check to see if the plastic weather lock cover is still in place if so this can be removed by using a small screwdriver or nail in three places on top left of door with a bit of force . now this is off there is a small lever on top of mechanism (lock) inside door ,this can take a while to find but be patient and you will get there after fumbling about blindfolded .keep trying exterior door handle slowly avoiding trapping fingers inside of panel .ps this sounds a bit of a carry on to have to go through but will cure your locked door in about 30 to40 minutes.hope this helps GOOD LUCK);).
