Ford Focus '99 - Various problems with electric window and door lock?

Hi everyone,

First, just like to say, what a great site - alot of useful info. Now am not exactly knowledgeable in cars so I was hoping if anybody can give me a dummies guide to fixing my problems with my ford focus V (1999) reg zetec car:

(a) Passenger window button
The button on the passenger side window does not work, however I am able to open/close the passenger window on the drivers side button - can anybody tell me if there is a quick fix for this?? and if so, please can you provide a detailed explanation.

(b) Passenger door lock
The central locking doesnt seem to work no-longer as it seems that the passenger side lock does not seem to want to lock anymore - when i lock the car at the drivers side, all doors lock except for the passenger side and given this case, all doors will open again. I have to lock the car by placing the key in the passenger door. Has anybody experienced this situation?

Any help would be much appreciated!!!!
