How is the drive belt on Hoover D6060 tensioned?

I have just spent the last 2hrs figuring this one out. What you need to do is wrap the drive belt around the drum but do not thread it through the little tensioning wheel with the spring attached. This bit is going to be difficult to explain in words - pinch the drive belt together to make a loop and feed this loop through the tensioning wheel and hook it around the motor
