i took the chip out of the key just to see if the led stayed on after flashing twice and it didn t does this mean mean the cdi isent reading the chip. only have normal black ignition key would i be able to reprogram just with this key.
For a laugh google (adam bike doctor) and have a look at an answer i gave in 2006 on here regarding the peugeot immobiliser.soemone ws trying to code one with a radio going and it wouldnt work so i told him what to do and it worked afterwards.see im famous :) :)

no you can only program a cdi/immobilser if you have both keys red and black.and by red i mean the one with little bobbles on the plastic bit not the red 'trelok' key for the boa lock they have shoved up inside the rear of the frame.
