tamper on?

Our Optima alarm went off during the bad weather but went into tamper mode and will not reset. We cannot put the alarm on and we are worried as we go away soon and dont want the alarm to go off on its own. We have changed the fuse but no difference. Are we safe to leave in tamper or what can we do?

Hi Grace, firstly changing your fuse will make no difference whatsoever. You probably have a bell box tamper, You can either isolate it yourself by means of phoning me and ill talk you through it, or you can call a local company out and probably get ripped off.
Yes you can happily leave it like it is, but if you do, please ensure your insurance isnt affected by not switching your alarm on.
