Hoover 1300 Autiwasher Ecologic?

Hi. I am having problems with the spin on my machine again. I fixed it once by using a method from here by fiddling with the connectors on what looks like a round vacuum unit at the top of the machine It worked for awhile but has now stopped spinning again.
The belt is on, the timer seems to try and set the thing into spin but doesn't.
Im not sure whether to change the vacuum unit or start checking the motor for supply voltage.
Any ideas please?
