why wont' my Saniflo pump wont switch off?

Same thing. Took a week or so to defrost. Whatever happens switch the unit off or it will burn out. The disadvantage was that the pipes were leaking the whole time because of ice expansion.

If pump is 3yrs old or more then problem might be limescale on the membrane. Turn pump off add water and descaler down the toilet pan, leave to soak for 24hrs if you can then turn it on.

unless its been badly installed it is unlikely that it is a frozen pipe. The waste is pumped out and does not sit in the pipe. It is likely that you have either put something down the toilet that is entangled in the float or if you have had it for some time it could be that the diaghram is mis-shapen and not releasing the microswitch

Ours is doing the same thing, its done it before and was just down to a frozen pipe. I switch it off at the mains, and then just try running it a couple of times a day, there will be a gurgle and it will clear. Having said that this time it has been off for about a week and Im getting concerned its something more. I have pipe lagging ready to put on as soon as its fixed.
