I have a problem with my indesit idf dishwasher, the pump was replaced a few weeks ago because it had stopped working. Dishwasher was o.k for a couple of weeks but has now developed a problem, it seems to run all the time, the only way you can switch it off is at the mains socket. If you try and swich it off using the control panel, it stops for a couple of seconds then starts up again
Despite the Italian name, Zanussi are made in China with Chinese parts. Sorry to disappoint you.

Indesit/hotpoint are prone to breakdown because manufactured with cheap parts (China?) Mine went west after 14 months, 2 months out of guarantee.
Your problem may be with the electronic relay.
If you can afford to, you might think of replacing the machine with a Zanussi or Bosch.
