Mend MG ZR 1.4 Fuel Pump No Start Ignition

mg zr wont start!!?

hi i ran out of petrol on tuesday i filled the tank right away but the car wont start , its turning over ok it just wont wire up when the ignition is on i can here the pump working but it doesnt seem to be getting any fuel??? is there a fuel cut off switch somewere ??? its a 04 plate 1.4

I have an an mg zr. There is a fuel cut off switch thingy under the hood near the engine. It shows you in your car manual.
