how do i tighten my hand brak step by step instructions ?

Buy a Haynes manual, £20 from halfords, all explained with words, pictures and diagrams.
Garages will charge more than that just to open the bonnet.

some earlier mondeos had no cable adjustment.there is an aduster on later models.you will need to check if yours has later cable.they are a bit of a pig to get to.jack up car onto axle stands.find central heatshield on floorpan.there should be a 17mm nut on cable. if there is not you will need later cable.
