I have an Ariston AVXL105 with a failed bearing. I have removed the drum but how do you split the outer plastic drum ?!. There is a central seam but there are no bolts, it appears it has been press fitted. Levering the seam with a screwdriver I think will surely damage the seal. Many thanks for any advice
I have found the answer to my question - if it helps anybody the answer is that for moulded plastic outer drums like mine you cannot split them. I have to replace the whole outer and inner drum with bearings as a complete assembly - for $500. So I have to scrap the washing machine just for the sake of a $50 bearing kit. Nice
