Mend Alba RDVD1002 Dvd Player Disc Problem

ALBA RDVD 1002?

Having made a recording the DVD shut down and is completely dead. Plug Fuse ok no life and unable to retreive the recorded disc. What is the problem and how do I get the disc back.
Please help.
