How to get my mower to move when in gear?

I have a craftsman riding mower.Everything is working on it pulleys n belts all that.But when I put it in gear it wont move.Just sits and idels.How do I fix it?

If you are certain that the transmission is being driven by the motor, then you are looking at transmission failure...is your machine hydrostatic drive or 6 speed manual?
