Mend Sony DAV-S550 Flashing Power Led

Flashing power led?

I have a Sony DAV-S550,when i attemp to switch the unit on the power LED flashes for several seconds and then goes off, hence no power, no movie time.Does anyone know if it is a simple repair or time for a new home cinema?
