Mend DSC 9448+ Alarm System Months

9827 Keypad?

Good evening, I have a 9448+ alarm system, with a 9827 keypad. Had the system since 1999, and has served me well. But over the last 6 months the power light on the keypad has been flashing constantly. The Standby battery was replaced about a year ago, and the system still works as normal. Can anyone suggest what may be wrong with the system or keypad? The green Led on the control panel is illuminated as normal.

you could try and reset it back to factory condits,(yes,here i go again alarm guy ):-)the engineering code if it aint been changed is 07890,this will allow you to open the keypad without trip the system,if its been working for a while cant see it being a wiring fault,but,you never know,try it out,then get back to us

Hello Alarm & gts for your replies. No I don't have the eng code, but I had the battery replaced. The end station led is green & is lit. The Keypad power led is constantly flashing, but there seems nothing wrong with the system. I'm just concerned maybe its giving me a sign something is on the way out.
I'LL check the cables & see what happens.

Check all cables to keypads, sounds like data corruption.

this norm happens when the panel is in engineering mode,but you say the light on end station is on?and you say the system functions ok?very odd,do you have the engineering code?
