Mend Velux Open Kind Stuck

Velux skylight unable to pull down and open?

I have a velux skylight that is the kind you pull down on the bar and the other end swings up, we are not sure whether it is the mechanism in the bar or if the other end is stuck for some reason that we can't see, any ideas. thanks,

If your windows are 10 years or so old then the hinges are simply in nedd of some tlc. By exerting even force ay both the top and bottom of the window this should free the window. Once open use light grease and apply to slide area within hinge. Operate the window a few times and you should find the window operates perfectly.
