I have had that same problem with an magic chef refrigerator. On the inside of the freezer compartment in the magic chef you can unscrew the back panel to get to the cooling area. It was full of ice around the coils. I took a hair dryer to that and defrosted the coils and it works perfectly. Also if there has ever had water spill at the back of the ice maker the motor could be frozen. If that is the case defrosting that along with the coils should take care of that as well. If not you can type in Google " testing refrigerator ice maker " and it should get you to a test area.
