Mend Kenmore 253.52622200 Noise Side Fridge

My icemaker makes a loud growling noise. How do I fix this?

I have a Kenmore side by side fridge. Model # 253.52622200. The ice maker works fine, but makes an incredibly loud growling noise during the cycle. I have also noticed some water drips and freezes near the back of the tray. Not sure if the two are related. When I raise the bar to turn it off, the noise goes away after the cycle ends. Any ideas?
