How can I fix my HITACHI VIDEO TAPE RECORDER FAULTY EJECT?

How can I fix my HITACHI VIDEO TAPE RECORDER?
MODEL video deck VT-420E.
The eject does not function very often. I suspect it may be a broken collar, and if so I would like to know if these are still available?
