I am about to purchase an Hitachi VT-M70EM VCR and want to make sure it can both play PAL videos (Europe) and work with a standard American NTSC TV. I do not have a multisystem TV.

M70em does has no problems with PAL and NTSC but!!!! but you will need a multi system tv - I solved the problem by going to radio schack and getting a converter
