I have a panasonic video cassette recorder NV-HD675.
A tape is stuck in the drive and the display shows F04 error code on all attempts to play or eject.
Can anyone help or give advise on how to release the cassette.

Same VCR, but not exactly the same problem. I get the casette out, when i push the power-button off, but it wont play the casettes. Every time i try to put a cassette in, i get the error-code F04, and then i have to turn power off, to get it out. I have tried to disconnect the power, but it wont help.

I have an HD645 with the same problem - power off and on doesn't fix it or get the tape out.

I have Panasonic NV-SD450 and same (F04) problem. Easiest way to eject tape is to disconnect the VTR from power for a moment. After re-connecting, the error code should disappear and you should be able to eject the tape usual way.
