how to fix my hotpoint washer?

check the pressure chamber is not BLOCKED preventing water solenoid from turning supply off,with the POWER OFF, remove the lid look for the pressure switch a round thing with wires and a plastic tube attached need to check this pipe for detachment, a split pipe or a blockage, the blockage will most likely be at the bottom where the powder collects blocking the (TINY HOLE), remove the pipe at the bottom end clean out hole, reassemble pipes and test machine on a fill cycle water should turn off before height of glass on a modern machine
