what is code 52 for a fisher paykel model IWL12?

The drain pump has two functions on this model. During pump out for spin it pumps water up & out of the drain hose to the waste pipe. During the start of the wash cycle the pump runs but water is recirculated up a different pipe back into the bowl. This is done via a divertor valve mounted next to the pump. If the valve has not moved over fully to the recirculating position, some water will escape out of the drain hose and water level will drop. Machine will then top up the water level. If this happens too many times then fault code 52 will show. Put machine into recirculating part of first wash & check the drain hose. If water is trickling out then service or replace the divertor valve.
