Mend Indesit WI101 Hose Help Washing

is my indesit wi101 overflow hose disconnected?

Please help, the spring on my indesit washing machine snapped, so i replaced that, but i can see one end of a hose not attached to anything. I think it's the overflow, its about 5ml in diameter, should this be attached to anything. it has a little clip on the end that's off, but i can't see anywhere obvious to attach it. i think it comes off the main drain pipe. i'll give any advice a try

no its a black rubber hose about a foot long which is attached to a branch off the main drain off the drum. I run some water through the machine and turned the power off mid fill, water trickled from this hose, but when i turned the power back on and drained the machine the trickle stopped. this is what makes me think its the overflow, but cant see anywhere obvious to reattach it.

no its a black rubber pipe about a foot long. It's attached at one end on a branch off the main drain from the drum. i have run some water into the machine and stopped it mid-fill. this made water trickle out of the hose, thats what makes me think it should be attached. but when i drained the machine it didn't come out of this particular hose anymore. i'm confused.

is this a see through pipe (clear plastic) and how long is it . ? and is it attached to anything at the other end ?
