Bosch MAXX 1200 WFL 2400 not doing anything!?

Hi, we've bought our 2008-modelled washing machine second-hand last year and this week it has stopped functioning.

Problem:
The washing machine turns on fine (plug, socket, fuse ok?) and after loading the machine (with medium/small/empty loads incase overloading issue), the machine does not function when pressing any of the buttons. By this, the pre-spin for the loosening of clothes does not happen, no water flows in, none of cycle at all. We've tried different settings - delicates, woollens, drain, rinse only etc, but all we hear is a click noise when we press start.

What we've done:
Following the manual, we've open the tap inlet hose at both ends, cleaned strainers out and made sure no kinks. We've check the wiring from the house to the applicance. Also, we have cleaned out the emergency drainage system at the bottom.

We've kept this machine in good, clean environment and haven't done anything to provoke any wear and tear failures despite the aging factor.
