is the belt attached to alternator attached to cam belt aswell on traffic?

hi mate,rite the first thing you need to do is remove the black platic panel on behind the drivers side front wheel,attached by 2x 13mm head bolts & 2 20torxue screws....you will see a spring loaded tensioner to the right hand side of the bottom pulley (crankshaft)... using a 16mm swan neck spanner on the alloy nut attatched to the tensioner turn to release the tension on the belt and remove belt.....fitting is reverse proceedure....except when fitting replacement belt you should find that its slightly narrower than the pulley width,ensure the belt is fitted to outside grooves in the pully leaving the gap closest to the engine ok...(this is a renault mod to help prevent premature belt failure)
