to drain the auto fluid is just under neath the auto box as there is a plug, and to fill it back up again, the filler is on the side top next to the drive passenger wheel. this is your overflow plug. so, after you place 2.8 liters back in, run it hot so auto is hot. 58-60 degrees as the oil will expand. then open this side upper filler bolt which can be plastic. as the excess auto fluid when hot should expel what is not needed and doing this after you have gone through the automatic's gears. you will have to buy a hand fluid pump to input the oil. and any basic person can do this change i believe, but that is up to you. 3x 1 liter Liquid Molly 75/80 transfer fluid, or Elf-70/75 is good and even recommended by Renault. it took me 30 minutes to drain and dump and refill the auto box and I'm not a mechanic. then i worked the Autio box got it hot and opened the side upper drain filler plug and about 60 mil came out. then i drove the vehicle long passed 100 KS or 70 miles and then this distanced traveled moment i then only noticed a massive change in the autos changers and reactions as it was starting to become so much better than it was before! then 10 000 kas later i also placed a CVT-automatic treatment in the fluid and again what a difference, this cost me 40.00, the auto oil cost me 107.00 and the hand pump cost me 25.00. so, i may have spent 1-hour on the whole job and the vehicles runs like it was new. very much worth doing these steps as my van had done 305 000 KS and what a difference now.
