do you mean auxillary belt because the timing belt is nothing to do with the belt that drives the alternator. you have to remove auxillary belt then the top and bottom timing covers and loads of other stuff to align timing marks etc...before you even start changing timing belt. you have to set the number1 piston to top dead centre (tdc). i have the full procedure but dont have the time to submit at the moment.
