I hosed off my LT 2000 riding mower just to remove dust and loose clippings and now it won't start. I lifted the hood and let it dry for 2 days and even pointed a box fan at it with no luck. The engine turns over and tries to start, sometimes with a backfire, but no go. I figure it has to be electrical. Any suggestions?
Remove the spark plug cap and make sure its fully dry and clean - and try again! Take the plug out and give it a clean too, cranking the engine with it out just to clear any excess fuel.
