Mend Craftsman LT1000 Lawn Blades

How can I fix my craftsman riding lawn mower LT 1000?

After starting the lawn mower whenever I let off on the brake or engage the blades the lawn mower dies. I know there is a switch for the blade engagement but haven't found the switch for the brake. Anyway it dies if one or the other is engaged--do I need to replace both switches or is there another problem with the mower.

I would check/replace the seat switch first, it sounds like a no operator present issue
