Mend Craftsman Riding Mower No Start

Craftsman riding mower will not start?

I washed the mower and now it will not start. Turn the key and all I get is a faint buzzing sound. Lights will not come on at all. I washed this mower every week for 15 years. 20 amp fuse is okay

Craftsman Garden Tools, Lawn Mowers Riding Mower No Start Craftsman

Check the ground wire or for any rust in the start switch. I changed switches with a new one but the mower would not start. I found that the wiring plug that attaches to the stasrt switch is rusty and needs replaced. Also, attach jumper cables and by-pass the start switch.
