hover softwave 1100 makes loud grinding noise do i need new pump?

my hoover washer makes aloud grinding noise just before it goes to spin but is still emptying ok. any ideas on what the problem could be? it is a hoover softwave 1100 washer dryer.

could just be blocked may have something stuck in pump ie coin button etc
