I had the same problem with my 60 series and it turned out to be the lid switch. I found out how to open the washer at this link:
http://groups.msn.com/Appliantology/washers.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=283 It was pretty easy. I removed the switch and checked it with an ohm meter and it was fine. There is a plastic actuator assembly that was no longer making contact with the switch button when the lid plunger came down on it. I found a new actuator at PartSelect for about $14 including shipping but I just superglued a little piece of plastic on to the actuator so that it would hit the button and that works for now. If it goes out again I'll order the new actuator assembly.
