How to fix thermal overload condition on Hoover Windtunnel 2 Upright?
I have a Hoover WindTunnel 2 Ultra Reach Model U8351-900 that appears to have tripped on thermal overload. We were vacuuming a large area rug and part of the fringe caught in the beater bar, the vac started smoking very badly and we could not turn it off with the on/off switch - we had to unplug from the wall. We tried to turn it back on and no luck. It appears that we have a tripped on thermal overload condition. We followed the instructions, unplugged for 30 minutes and checked for blockages. The machine will still not turn on. The owners manual says take it to the repair man. Any insight on how to fix this aside from taking it to the repair shop would be greatly appreciated.
