I guess...
The motor runs, the hoses are correctly fitted and without holes or blockages, the filters are clean but there's no suction - not some suction but no suction at all.... Why?
The motor drives a fan/blower assembly that blows air out of the machine causing suction into the machine. It seems the motor and the blower unit may have become disconnected from one another - the motor spins at high speed and makes a good noise - possibly faster and higher pitched than before because it has no load on it.
How this could happen I can't say - I have no experience of this machine.
