Mend Hoover WindTunnel Deluxe Upright Power

My hoover upright?

My Hoover windtunnel Deluxe Upright Vacuum cleaner vacuums for a few minutes then it just shuts itself off cold turkey. I push the switch to off, wait fifteen minutes and it often starts up again. Does anyone know what can be wrong with it and what I should be checking?

There is a thermal cut off switch to shut down motor if it gets too hot. After motor cools, the switch resets itself and the vacuum works again. Something is overworking the motor, ie., dirty filter, bag full, hair and lint surrounding motor area therefore suffocating the motor and overheating it. Clean well.
