my dehumidifier just gets hot model amcor 0-250?

first unplug the unit . now take the screws out that hold the cover on the unit , making sure you pull the dial off too . now looks at the back coil and the front one , most times these are plugged up with dirt from the air , clean them with soapy water , rinse, and add a couple of drops of oil to the motor while the cover is off . now with the cover still off , plug it in and watch to see what happens , it should go . if it doesn't then it's low on freon , and you might as well replace the unit (cheaper)
