Nissan Micra With No Spark!!?

Hi,

I Have A Nissan Micra 1.0 1996, The Car Stopped And The Key Wouldnt Come Out Of The Ignition, The Car eventually Started And I Got It Home, But Now It Wont Re-Start, i Have Managed To Remove The Key rom The Ignition Using Some WD And Some Patience But Now When I Turn On The Igniton The Lights Come On But Once I Trun The Key To Start It There Are No Lights To The Dash And No Spark To The HT Leads. Could This Be An Ignition Switch Fault? If So How Do I Remove The Key Barrel From The Chamber As To Check As I Think It Might Be A Internal Fault To Thios From The Loom At The Back Of The Chamber. Mant Thanks For Any Suggestions.
