Mend Whirlpool 1400 Spin Cycle

Whirlpool AWM1403 washing still wet after spin cycle?

Whirlpool AWM 1403 1400 1600 spin problems. Nearly two years old Whirlpool AWM 1403 with 600 and 1400 spin speeds, spinning but not getting the wetness out, washing is still very wet. Does this machine default to the 600 or 900 speed for any reason? Where can I obtain a schematic diagram or service manual? It is belt driven. The belt tightness is ok, the pump is ok, the wastepipe is not blocked. Even with a small load its still very wet after spinning. I think that its not going into the 1400 spin speed.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.

P.S.Got the info below of a Readers Digest review forum.

WHIRLPOOL AWM1403 This washing machine does not live up to its expectations. There is a production fault on the machine the drum seals are prone to schreeching as it slows down from a fast spin. I have had to have mine replaced within six months of purchase fault is still occuring. time taken for a full progamme wash is lenghthy and spin cycle does not fully spin clothes almost dry - you have to put back onto spin programme 1 to obtain the dryness required - thus more time is spent washing than necessary. I would not recommend this machine to anyone. Price wise it seemed a bargain but I feel that I will have to purchase another washing machine within the next 18 months

I had a problem with my machine after some years - the electronic controller has a circuit board, with another soldered to it. At the point when the machine failed altogether, 6 joints had broken! The repair required a drop of solder on each of the broken joints. I forget when I did this - which suggests a couple of years ago or more - has been perfect ever since!

The quality of manufacture of the circuit boards was very good - just not really suited to the vibration of a washing machine!

Please note, I'm not a professional washing machine repairer, so do not ask me to carry out repairs like this - if necessary, buy a soldering iron and some solder, and learn to solder - it's a skill that will serve you well!

I have a whirlpool washer that seems to have an issue with the timer cutting the end of the spin cycle before it even reaches full speed. I am going to try to make an adjustment on the timer.

I bought a AWM1000 about 3 years ago as it was cheap but my wife noticed this problem since day one and another thing she commented on was you have to switch off before setting the programme otherwise all you see is the programme control moving round the cycles to the stop position before doing anything.
Recently the drum was making a noise so I removed the pipe from the drum to the pump and found some change etc but also noticed a round plastic ball sitting in the trap in the pipe under the drum (I left alone as assume it has a purpose) and wonder if removing this would improve things.
The problem turned out to be a sock sitting between the the drum case and drum and with water in it floated getting trapped and caught. With some difficulty this was eventually removed.
The other reason for buying this one was the spares were cheap and made by Philips with the Whirlpool brand name.
Our last machine was a Zanussi and was much better but the tacho generator kept melting after about a year or so as made of plastic which was a problem as they were becomming scarce.
