Mend Whirlpool AWO/D 5726 Washing Machine Grinding Noise Spin Cycle

How can I fix my Whirlpool AWO/D 5726 washing machine?

When in a fast spin, it makes a high pitched grinding noise, akin to an aeroplane taking off. When I spin the drum by hand there is not any noticable noise. I can lift the drum up about one inch. The machine is 2 years old, used 3 times a day, every day.

I have the same issue, but now the machine displays the red service light and error code F07. Could this be the same thing?
